Fools' Day For Golf Players To Augusta

Everyone has done stupid things that they regret and that is inevitable, Tiger Woods is no exception. But in there Woods is to come back in Augusta this month to play the Masters, and in there he is not alone. Here is a small compilation for the Fools' Day.

1st

Remember Augusta's cooler-head criminal? , 48, attempted to rob a local Circle K in 2002 with a foam beer cooler on his head. Pavlich approached the counter, pulled out a gun and started shouting, but his voice was so muffled by the cooler the clerk couldn't understand him. The clerk struggled with him, took the gun away and pushed Pavlich out of the store. He was later arrested and charged with armed robbery. Fortunately that was not a golf shop of clubs.

2nd Community activist  earned a spot on the fool's list when he publicly fought with Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority member William Fennoy in 2008. Both men ended up in jail after they both sought warrants against each other following the public fight at the James Brown Arena. After Merry confronted Fennoy for not attending a previous meeting, things escalated with a few pushes, a few warnings from both men and eventually Merry was on the floor. Lesson to Merry: Don't confront a man who is at least twice your size. 3rd In 2004, Augusta Chronicle publisher III's development company, 635 Broad Investment Co., LLC decided to make news of its own. The company removed a historic, public cobblestone alleyway, situated between the former Barrett Warehouse and the former Marine Room strip club on Broad Street, which dated back to at least 1884. The cobblestones, which local members of the Historic Preservation Commission said were likely used as ballast in old cotton ships, were removed by Morris' company in conjunction with the construction of a parking lot. When the city learned of the unauthorized removal of what was thought to be one of the oldest alleyways in town, the Augusta Commission demanded Morris' company return the city's cobblestones to Leon Alley and restore it back to its former condition. Why what they removed was not a golf shop that sells equipment that we cannot afford? 4th Former Augusta Mayor  has been known as someone who missed that lesson in kindergarten: Think before you speak. During a Club Car marketing event in which the company was celebrating the production of its 1 millionth car in March 2001, Young jokingly said, "Take that E-Z-GO!" Needless to say, E-Z-GO's chief executive officer didn't appreciate the comment, considering the company was founded in Augusta back in 1954 and has been loyal to the city ever since. Club Car, which is based in Columbia County, and E-Z-GO are the two largest golf cart manufacturers in the world. Nice one, Bob! 5th It is just like in GTA that Tommy drives a car into a golf shop. The high-speed chase of the Godfather of Soul can only be described as foolish, no matter how much we love James Brown. On Sept. 24, 1988, Brown allegedly walked into an insurance seminar going on next to his west Augusta business office, according to The Augusta Chronicle. He was carrying a shotgun and accusing the 40 men and women of using his private bathroom without permission. Minutes after the incident, the Godfather left the building located off Wheeler Road and led police on a two-state car chase that ended when police shot out his truck's tires and Brown returned to downtown Augusta driving on his wheel rims. When Brown's truck finally came to a rest, the Godfather was charged with aggravated assault and failure to stop for police. He would spend the next two years in jail.
