The
Mizuno MX-25 iron set
predecessor (MX-23), even has been put discount golf equipment in shops, was Mizuno's best-selling iron ever, so these have a lot to live up to! Forged from 10 per cent softer carbon steel than their older golf clubs brothers, we reckon they might have what it takes to rule the forged game-improvement irons market.
A more forgiving, deeper pocket cavity has been workable due to the strength and purity of Mizuno's new forging material. Feel and consistency is maintained by T-slot milling each cavity after forging - maintaining a one piece design while leaving grain flow lines intact. A cavity progression through the set, ensure that tour players to high handicap amateurs will find a performance match in this golf clubs set. Long irons feature a massively forgiving deep pocket cavity, while short irons taper to a solid feel-based design.
The
Mizuno MX-25 iron set
features a triple-cut sole design for consistent playability from all types of lies. A bevelled leading edge, bevelled trailing edge, and cambered mid-sole create three distinct surfaces that reduce the turf contact area, which, in turn, minimizes turf drag and digging. The milled pocket cavity of creates an extra wide pocket in the long irons that allows the MX-25 redistribution of 30g of weight away from the clubface, which creates a lower, deeper center of gravity thereby increasing the launch angle for maximum forgiveness and a high trajectory in the long irons (3-5). In the 6 and 7 irons, a wide pocket allows for the redistribution of 20g around the club head for the perfect combination of forgiveness and control, and the Solid Power design in the 8-PW give players enhanced control and workability in the scoring irons. Through technological improvements Mizuno was able to use Grain Flow Forged 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel in the MX-25, the same material now used in their legendary MP line of irons, providing an unmatched soft, solid feel and added durability. The club head is double nickel chrome plated with a mirror satin finish, and MX-25 modified U-Grooves produce the ideal spin rate from maximum playability for these golf clubs.
