A Woman's Guide To Picking Golf Club Sets
Golf was once mostly a man's sport, but women have recently started coming in more quickly than ever before. Some people overlook the grip, but it is one of the most important elements of any set. If you're just getting into golf, you should be looking for the highest quality you can find in this regard, so you don't have to keep changing the grip. Otherwise, you'll either have to keep spending extra, or risk letting your hands slip on faulty material.
This isn't to say every aspect of your clubs will be perfectly fine the way it is for an extensive period of time. If you don't take care of your equipment for any sport, it's eventually going to turn bad on you, and the same is true here. At some point, you will have to change the grip - though probably only every 3000 rounds or 6 months.
Take the time to find the perfect length. If you're swinging with something that's too long or short, you'll struggle to get the club to do what you want it or even to hit the ball. You'll feel more comfortable and even get more distance when you're sure what you have is just right. Measure from your wrist to the ground to get a general idea.
Also, you should consider what flex will work best for you. You might want a less stiff shaft when you first start out, and then to move up as you improve your swing. Consider other factors, like how old you are (if you are older, you might want graphite clubs), and, of course, what options are actually available to you.
On a last point, don't fall for expensive clubs that claim to give you all sorts of help as you play. You'll probably find something that works just as well for much less money. Again, consult with an expert to find the golf club sets that meet both your needs and your budget.
