11 Tips teach you to spot the fake golf clubs

You know everybody as a consumer is out for a bargain but some bargains are just too good to be true! But we are concerned about the number of Fake items appearing online. The fake manufacturers are not using the correct materials in both the club head and the shaft, so they will be not the same absolutely although they look the same! So you must have learned some skills to spot the fake golf clubs if you're really eager for become a pro golfer.

1. We know that people make fake clubs, but the fact is they are very rare in the U.S. If you (or whomever you got it from) bought it from someone in Asia there is a higher probability it is fake.

2. Member Feedback – do not buy from anyone with lots of negative feedback or from someone with less than 50 sales.

3. Serial Number – ask for them, most companies now have some type of serial number system. If they don’t provide this is obvious sign it might be a fake.

4. Photos - Ask for additional close-up photos, if they don’t provide you should avoid this buyer.

5. Full Sets – watch out for sellers packaging woods, irons, wedges, putter, bag etc. This generally is a sign of a counterfeit.

6. Magnet Test – If you have the club in your hand and they claim it is titanium, stick a magnet to it.

7. A magnet will not stick to titanium, so if it did, it is a fake.

8. Glue Test – many times there will be excess glue around the ferrule and decals if so it might be a fake. Real clubs will not have excess epoxy.

9. Lettering & Paint – check a picture on the web to compare, counterfeiters generally make mistakes when it comes to the fine details like the logo, fonts, paint color, weight sizes and the actual shape of the head.

10. Great Deal – If it’s too good to be true it is. Sellers will often use the “won in raffle” or “got as a gift” to justify the low cost.

11. Ferrules – That’s the little piece that goes between the head and the shaft. Many companies have special shapes to their ferrules and counterfeiters rarely match them.
